This male Lyre-tipped Spreadwing was collected at Pumice Stone Well off Harris Springs Road in the Medicine Lake Highlands on
July 16th. At that time it was so teneral (newly emerged) that handling it to examine its appendages to determine species might have
ruined it. Therefore it was taken to the Biggs' McCloud home and allowed to mature/harden up overnight. It was then released on thier pond there and
these photos, which
confirmed that it was indeed a Lyre-tipped Spreadwing (Lestes unguiculatus) were taken.
