This male Lyre-tipped Spreadwing was collected at Pumice Stone Well off Harris Springs Road in the Medicine Lake Highlands on July 16th. At that time it was so teneral (newly emerged) that handling it to examine its appendages to determine species might have ruined it. Therefore it was taken to the Biggs' McCloud home and allowed to mature/harden up overnight. It was then released on thier pond there and these photos, which confirmed that it was indeed a Lyre-tipped Spreadwing (Lestes unguiculatus) were taken.
